Administrative Assistants in the Home Civil Service £14,732
(London Location Allowance of £3,000 per annum (non-pensionable) payable whilst working in London)

Administrative Assistants are based in London. They work on everything from HR and Finance, to providing our consulates and overseas missions with a wide range of support. Every two years Administrative Assistants rotate into a different job in London, which ensures they enjoy variety in their work.
As you can imagine, the possibilities for career development are considerable. Each rotation provides opportunities to take on challenges of greater complexity and to be given more individual responsibility for them. At the same time, access to a wide range of training and support is always available to help you meet these new challenges in full confidence.
To begin, you’ll need a minimum of 2 GCSEs, or equivalent, one of which should be English Language. You’ll also need good administration skills, including experience of word processing and spreadsheet packages.
