Technical Support Engineer / Customer Support Engineer
Locations: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Salary circa £24,000 & Excellent Benefits Package
We are now looking to recruit a Technical / Customer Support Engineer. The company is one of the UK’s leading providers of solutions for the effective use of steam and related fluids. The Technical / Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for the technical support of the company’s entire range of products and their application to the branch offices, distributors and customers in the Middle East. Working in conjunction with the Middle East Export Technical Executive, you will also be responsible for:
- Preparation of technical proposals and quotations in liaison with the company’s product units when required.
- Technical training for branch office, distributor and customer personnel visiting the UK.
- Cover for the Middle East Export Technical Executive in times of absence or heavy work load.
- Assisting the Export Manager - Middle East with actions identified in the Roadmap for business development in GCC.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level within either a Mechanical or Electrical discipline. Practical experience of designing and commissioning steam and condensate systems is essential as is the ability to provide theoretical and practical training to customers on the design and maintenance of steam condensate systems.
With a number of years experience of providing Technical Support for sales teams, customer and distributors alike, this position would suit individuals who have previously worked as Product Support Engineer, Mechanical Support Engineers, Customer Support Engineers and Sales Support Engineers. Experience in selling to oil and petrochemical industries is a significant advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided. To be considered for this vacancy you will need written and spoken fluent English. Proficiency in a second language ie. Arabic would be useful.
You will be based in the Head Office in Cheltenham but occasional visits to other countries will be required.
