German Speaking Sales Associate

Our client a large international company is currently seeking for a German Speaking Sales Associate to work in their offices based in Cambridge.
Job Role
Working with our clients Account Managers, the Sales Associate will undertake prospecting, networking, qualifying leads and closing smaller sales opportunities. This will be achieved largely through telephone contact with prospective and current customers within the Pharmaceutical and Chemicals markets as well as within academia. While the main focus of the role is to support the sales effort within the team, individual project work can involve closing smaller add-on sales, driving marketing initiatives such as events, conferences or direct marketing activity, sourcing lists or researching new sales channels and business areas
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales, including add on sales to existing commercial, government and academic customers, smaller value sales to new customers, maintenance renewals
• Telephone canvassing to ensure maximum attendance to marketing campaigns
• Raising customer satisfaction by working with the Sales Rep and Technical Account Managers
• Weekly interfacing with the Customer Care and Marketing teams to ensure leads are properly qualified and correctly imported into the database.
• Qualifying leads from sources such as marketing campaigns, delegate lists from events, conference attendee lists, internal databases
• Internet research
• Coordinate and assist with visits from Technical Experts across Europe
The Candidate
• Degree-educated ideally in a scientific discipline such as chemistry, physics or biology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in German and English is essential.
• A high level of IT proficiency and aptitude.
• Credible and confident telephone manner with drive and enthusiasm to help sustain a high call volume.
• Desire to succeed and to achieve sales targets.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop strong professional relationships with customers.
• Ability to quickly absorb product and technical knowledge
• Able to work independently, often to tight deadlines and under pressure, whilst also able to work as a team member.
• Whilst previous work in a telesales capacity or commercial sales role is advantageous, we are willing to consider entry-level candidates with the right personal qualities and ambition to build a successful career in sales.
• The individual will need to be a fluent German speaker, self-motivated, highly organised and possess excellent communication skills. Additionally, as individuals will be assessed and rewarded on how effective they are at qualifying and generating quality leads they will need to have an enthusiasm to succeed and to achieve challenging sales targets.
Salary = £18-£20,000 + 30% Commission on Sales
