Multilingual German Customer Service Representative

Our Client, a multinational company is seeking to recruit a Multilingual Customer Service Representative for their offices in Lancashire
Job Role
To undertake the customer service activities relating to all Sheet & Composites sales.
Control of the Companys exports ensuring compliance with appropriate national and international regulations.
Work in accordance with the quality procedures detailed in the sales office procedures manuals
Consistently deliver the Customer Service Key Performance Indicators in terms of
CSR, reason codes, Invoice accuracy, Complaints due to CSR error
Ensuring any occasions of flexibility are recorded on the supply chain database
Helping identify savings in cost to serve without reducing on time delivery
Producing regular market report to highlight current activity opposite key customers
Accept and place customer orders in SAP
Work closely with the Regional Distribution Centre to ensure the order is either delivered or that the customer is notified of any changes in a timely and professional manner
Work with the Credit Controller to ensure effective control of overdues. Use key processes in place to ensure over dues are not caused by invoice error
Ensure forecasts are received from customers / agents on time and submitted to the Sales Planning Co ordinator. Throughout the month monitor orders received against forecast and chase any shortfalls in orders. Report reasons for shortfalls/excesses to the Sales Planning team.
Work with Quality Improvement Team to ensure complaints are resolved in a timely manner & customer receives feedback.
Handle customer enquiries by fax, phone or e mail.
Take part in customer visits with Sales Professional and help to arrange customer visits.
Cover for other CSRs.
Ensure compliance with all HM Customs & Excise requirements in accordance with the customer service Customs manual
Ensure CSR owned data within commercial & supply chain database is up to date at all times.
Essential qualifications and experience:
Fluency in written and spoken English
Fluency (written and spoken) in German plus another European language. These languages must be native or near native level and competency will be tested in a pre-selection telephone interview. Please do not forward candidates who do not meet the language criteria.
Previous customer service/commercial experience
Computer literacy (Microsoft packages)
Excellent interpersonal skills - face to face and on the telephone
A self starter who must be able to work to tight deadlines without supervision
Well organised with a structured approach to work
Good communication skills and attention to detail
The job entails dealing with a variety of cultures, occasionally with language problems, requiring human skills. The various time zones make communication difficult.

In return we our client offers a starting salary of £22k - £23500 depending on experience, 25 days holiday, BUPA and pension scheme.
