The Role

Bloomberg is seeking a highly motivated Legal professional to contribute to the development of the Bloomberg Law (BLAW) product strategy and the execution plans for the BLAW business. This client-facing role will initiate and maintain relationships with Legal professionals and vendors, identify and understand prospective customer needs, and design creative solutions.

The successful candidate will also be expected to communicate effectively with both BLAW team members and systems developers and must have a strong commitment to developing and enhancing this new product.

Key daily responsibilities also include, but are not limited to the following:

- Participate in the development and on-going adaptation of BLAW business plans to ensure the optimal deployment of technical, human, and financial resources associated with meeting the business unit’s stated growth and financial performance objectives
- Development, oversight and execution of project plans
- Management of priorities and initiatives pertaining to BLAW systems software development
- Working in coordination with product support teams on the establishment of client support framework
- Support the development of required sales marketing and training materials

Qualifications

- 5 or more years of full-lifecycle Legal product development experience
- Strong knowledge of Legal information services and data analysis
- Solid project management experience, inclusive of establishing project scope and project scheduling
- Demonstrated ability to research and analyze problems and develop solutions
- Experience gathering and documenting client requirements
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- JD preferred
- Solid MS Project and PowerPoint skills
