The role: Global Advertising and Product Operations - 2012 New Grad
New graduates joining the Global Advertising & Product Operations team do everything from protecting the integrity of core services like Google Search and AdWords to delivering the best possible experience for our users around the world for products like Gmail, Google Maps, Adsense, and Google Checkout. You?re an early adopter who loves figuring out new technology, from social media to smartphones, and you?re comfortable communicating clearly no matter the medium. You?re not afraid to think creatively and speak your mind, and you?re excited about joining a fast-paced team at the forefront of the global online advertising industry. Finally, you?ll need to be proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, innovative ? and able to work well in a fast-paced, global, cross-functional, and team-oriented environment while demonstrating technical know-how, effective communication and getting things done.

Responsibilities:
Product Quality Operations team specific
* Investigate, identify, and prevent/remove product quality issues by reviewing accounts, transactions, user-generated content, advertisements, local business listings, and/or search results in order to enforce product-specific policies.
* Protect the integrity of at least one of Google?s key products by investigating financial fraud, account-related abuse, questionable business practices, violations of Google?s policies, and general misuse of our products.
Owned and Operated team specific
* Collaborate with Specialists, Engineers, and Product team members on new feature development derived from user requests on consumer products such as Gmail, Blogger, Google Maps, Google . This will include updating help center content and monitoring user forums.
* Lead and participate in special projects/initiatives: innovate and implement large-scale quality improvements to processes and/or systems by conducting data analyses and making recommendations, troubleshooting technical issues, and refining processes around customer support and product expansion.
Global Advertising Operations team specific
* Provide outstanding customer service and sales support to advertisers using the AdWords platform while identifying and resolving customer concerns by phone, email, and/or live chat.
* Recommend strategy adjustments based on identified market trends and product capabilities.
Online Partnership Group team specific
* Acquire, grow and retain online publishers across Google's suite of advertising solutions for publishers, including AdSense, the DoubleClick Ad Exchange, and DoubleClick for Publishers
* Manage and respond to escalations from internal and external parties within designated service levels as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree.
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Product Quality Operations & Owned and Operated team specific:
* Experience in, or with, consulting, search quality evaluation, or legal technology precedents.
* Interest in identifying, and preventing/removing product quality issues by reviewing user accounts, transactions, user-generated content, advertisements, local business listings, and/or search results in order to enforce product-specific policies.
* Familiarity with programming languages, such as C, C , SQL, Java, Ruby, Perl or Python.
* General knowledge of web development best practices in relation to HTML, PHP and CSS.
* Strong interest in a Google-specific product (e.g. Gmail, Docs, Search, Blogger, Chrome, etc.).
* Ability to quickly absorb complex technical concepts and effectively communicate solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Global Advertising Operations and Online Partnership Group team specific:
* Experience in sales, customer support, account management or marketing.
* Proven ability to carry a quota, sell, and drive revenue.
