Company: Our client is a leading European Engineering and Consulting company specializing in projects for the Oil and Gas Industry. They are currently working on projects in the Middle East (Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE and Bahrain), Russia and China. New opportunities exist for Senior Quantity Surveyors in Cartagena, Colombia.
Role: The role involves meeting with clients to discuss their needs and restrictions, assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies, studying architects’ and engineers’ building plans preparing early stage budgets and detailed cost plans, performing risk and value management and cost control, preparing tenders, allocating work to sub contractors, certifying progress claims and payments to contractors against work complete and valuing completed work.
Skills: The ideal candidate will be a quantity surveyor with 5+ year’s track record in the industry. You will need an eye for detail, mathematical skills, planning, project management and negotiating experience as well as commercial and business initiative that will allow you manage your function to the best needs of the customer. Fluent English is mandatory additional European languages are an advantage.
