The Role

Bloomberg News is seeking a Speed Desk Reporter in our Sao Paulo office. This experienced reporter will be responsible for covering companies. The person in this role will cover mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, corporate finance and earnings.

This individual should have a minimum of five years of journalism experience. Experience covering companies and/or finance is essential. The ideal candidate will have worked in a real-time news environment. Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential. Responsibilities include attending press briefings and evening events, monitoring other media and writing news summaries.

Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
-Minimum of five years of business journalism experience
-Experience working in a real-time news environment is a plus
-Ability to write quickly and concisely in Portuguese or in English under deadline pressure
-Fluency in Portuguese and English
