The Role

Bloomberg is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual on a temporary contract basis to support a new information product that will report on, analyze and quantify the impact of government actions on business and industry.

We will bring the same unparalleled level of fact-based, objective reporting and analysis to policymaking as we have provided to the financial community for the past 27 years.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging industry and government relationships to procure and coordinate relevent data as it relates to the U.S. Federal Government.

Qualifications

- 5 or more years of experience with Government data.
- Experience and knowledge in the operation of the U.S. Federal Government.
- Proficiency using Government websites such as congress.gov, data.gov, house.gov.
- Knowledge of Healthcare, Energy, Defense, High Tech sectors is beneficial, but not required.
- Experience in Web content collection a plus.
- Ability to maintain an organized work environment with attention to detail.
- Experience in entrepreneurial environments or having been part of a start-up.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. BS/BA in Political Science or related degree preferred.
- Travel to Washington DC and New York may be required.

Responsibilities also include providing commentary and analysis on the data collected and will require close partnership with Product Developers, the Data Collection Team, and News Reporters as necessary.
