The Role

An exceptional project leader with strong negotiation skills is needed for distribution and manufacturing initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Lead distribution and manufacturing cost reduction and process improvement projects.
-Evaluate processes and costs; identify opportunities for savings.
-Conduct RFPs, analyze responses, negotiate pricing, present recommendations and implement changes.
-Analyze and report on savings from proposed and actual cost-savings initiatives.
-Continuously evaluate the cost efficiency of different distribution and manufacturing options to minimize costs and achieve service levels.
-Assist with the development of an annual budget and monthly reconciliations of actual expenses to the budget. Develop cost estimates.
-Create and update models to reflect changes in postage rate structures, courier services and freight operations.
-Provide back-up coverage as needed for Manufacturing and Distribution team members.

Skills:

-Project management- Ability to complete high value projects with aggressive timetables. Must be well organized and be comfortable managing the details of multiple projects.
-Financial analyses- Expertise in developing and updating Excel spreadsheets, creating macros and Pivot Tables; create and Access databases, queries and reports. Must be able to analyze data to identify trends, opportunities and savings.
-Experience is preferred in the domestic and international publication manufacturing and distribution market. However, if the candidate has demonstrated exceptional project management skills in another industry, training in manufacturing and distribution will be provided.
-Polished communication, negotiation and writing skills.

Education:

-A four year college degree with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.

Work Experience:

-At least five years experience leading and completing high visibility projects.
