Operational Procurement Senior Buyer

Purpose of the Role

This will require you to bring an analytical, structured and proactive way of working, focused on delivering results in a high-paced environment. What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for the Operational Procurement of all USA based suppliers
    • Conduct RFQ process
    • Supplier selection and setup for the following categories:

      • Raw Materials,
      • Semi-Finished Products,
      • Components,
      • Supplementary Materials,
      • Maintenance, repair, and operation materials (MRO),
      • Services,
      • Finished products,
      • Production support items,
      • Investment goods or capital equipment
    • Purchase order placement in Oracle EBS
    • Delivery follow up with Suppliers, Customs and Warehouse
  • Responsible for ordering items under Min Max Planning
    • Set up items in the Item Master module in Oracle
    • Generate Min Max report for reordering
    • Place purchase orders for items under Min Max planning method
    • Follow up purchase order deliveries (Broker, Receipts & Payments)
  • Resolution of invoice discrepancies
  • Obtain necessary documentation from supplier for import process:
  • Evaluate supplier performance
  • Coordinate returns of non-conformant product
  • Conduct periodic tenders to ensure competitive pricing and payment terms amongst participant suppliers

  • Identify cost reduction initiatives that help us to achieve the organization objectives
  • Canvas Manufacturing Planning
    • Create requisition for all Canvas corrugated items
    • Create Blanket PO for all Canvas corrugated items
    • Review inventory levels for all Canvas corrugated items
    • Issue daily blanket PO releases to supplier
  • Responsible for Kisarazu, Japan ink and Inkjet machines spare parts
  • Coordinate Facilities and Equipment maintenance supplier visits

Who You Are:

  • BS/BA preferred and / or minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in related field is required.
  • Business related classes and / or experience a plus, such as APICS certification, Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Strong Computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point are required
  • TOEFL certification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operational procurement for a fast-paced manufacturing company
  • Bilingual – Fluent level of English - Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
  • Experienced ERP user
  • Working experience with Oracle EBS
  • Analytical capabilities in terms of metrics, volumes, trends, inventory, financial information
  • Solid problem solving and decision-making skills are required
