European Technical Trading bv is a Belgian IT distributor, daughter company of ETT Luxembourg, established in 1997. Our main activity is the international sourcing and providing of proven high tech A brands of IT products such as HDD, CPU, SSD, MEM, Graphic cards, multimedia, game consoles, phones, etc. Additionally we offer a broad assortment of consumer electronics.

We operate on an international scale and rely on a solid network of suppliers and trusted logistic partners. Our portfolio includes brands such as AMD, Intel, Western Digital, Kingston, Toshiba, Seagate, Sony, Samsung and Apple.  Our customers are online retailers, shops, traders, distributors, etc.  

The headquarters and warehouse of European Technical Trading are located in Gent, Belgium. The company has a yearly turnover of more than 100 million Euro and we work with a team of 14 people.

Many employees are working for more than 20 years for the owners of the company. We are a close-knit team, active in the most dynamic part of the ICT market, worldwide distribution. Every day is a new challenge and an opportunity to score a nice order.

For the acquisition and active support of specialised dealers and system houses, we are looking for an extra staff member. You have good communication skills, a lot of sales talent, good hardware knowledge and a complete commercial training and a network in the business.  You can expect and attractive job with interesting and various tasks in a young and ambitious team where you purchase and sell your deals. 

In an independent way you acquire new suppliers and customers and intensify existing contacts. 

The reward is based on performance with a fixed amount supplemented with commission.

JOB OFFER:   Sales/Purchase Executive with experience in the IT business for the DACH region and Eastern-European region

Are you passionate about computer hardware and are you experienced in sales and purchasing?

Do you have a network of contacts in the IT business?  

For the potential of the European market, we are looking for a deal focused sales and purchase executive.  

You will succeed daily in locating and offering stocks, negotiating with customers and suppliers, and making the best deals. Your market knowledge and drive are your key to success. Established for many years in the market, the company together with your colleagues, will give you the possibility to expand your network and talents. In your position as a Sales and Purchase Executive you report directly to the management.


Missions :

• Expand ETT’s presence in the IT business by working with new potential customers and suppliers.

• Managing pro-active and permanent contact with existing and new bidders and buyers.

• Screening the market worldwide for the availability of products and price evolutions.

• Finding new opportunities to grow the revenue.

• Responsible for achieving sales targets

• Taking initiative to get in touch with (potential) partners via phone calls, e-mail, social media and trade shows with (potential) partners


Your profile

• Professional appearance on the phone. Very good communication and negotiation skills.

• Strong customer focus, responding effectively to the needs of the customer.

• Goal- and success oriented way of working, having a nose for business and eager to close deals.

•  3 to 5 years of work experience in a comparable commercial position in the IT sector with affinity in IT and multimedia products.

• You have knowledge and an own network in the ICT with OEM companies, system integrators, database companies, retailers, e-tailers.

• You speak fluent Dutch, English and optional German. Knowledge of any other majority European language is a big advantage.

• You are an experienced professional with a background in sales development or commercial roles.

• You are communicative and have a strong commercial spirit; you respond effectively to the needs of the customer.

• You have a nose for business and eager to close deals.

• You are result-oriented and know how to persevere; you are stress resistant.

• Flexible working hours.
