The role: Senior DevOps Engineer – Web Delivery

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Stars Web Delivery department in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Our tech teams work remotely within Bulgaria, occasionally you’ll need to come to the office in Sofia. Not often, but up to 4-5 times a month and of course, we’ll cover all related expenses. Working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Looking outwards, at the wider organisation, we interface with the wider business touchpoints for technology, finding the cross-organisational blockers to flow and driving technology driven solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced DevOps Engineer.     

Why we need you?

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will join a multinational team of more than 20 experienced professionals. The role reports directly to the team lead who is located in Toronto.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

• Design, create and deliver a range of DevOps Build Automation and Deployment solutions in hybrid environments such as VMware, AWS and/or Azure.
• Delivers Software Development projects and helps to ensure availability of key DevOps services.
• Help automate and streamline our operations and processes.
• You`ll troubleshoot and resolve issues in our Dev, QA, UAT and Production environments for a wide range of projects.

Who we’re looking for?

Your experience:

• Extensive experience in an IT infrastructure role with strong background in Linux and Cloud administration.
• Experience with open source technologies
• Experience with server virtualization and software defined networking
• CI/CD pipelines, Docker and container orchestration eco-systems such as Kubernetes
• Some experience focused on coding and scripting (mostly Bash, Python, Java, Groovy)
• Solid knowledge in networking, HTTP/S protocol, public traffic management and processing
• Work in Agile environment

Your skills:

• Following the best methodologies and IT operations but also able to suggest any improvements
• A self-starter with the ability to make progress with minimal supervision
• Good diplomacy skills and the ability to liaise with technical and business people
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong written and presentation skills in English.
