Then you might be the perfect candidate as an entrepreneurial Sales and Service Solution Engineer (SE) for our newly combined Cloud Applications sales organisation in Germany.

Business applications are growing at a very fast pace, more than 30% per year, and Oracle is looking forward to hiring a self-starter with drive, who wants to increase Oracle's footprint through consultative selling, being passionate about customer-centric problem solving and by accompanying our customers on their digitalization journey.

Our SEs have specialist Sales and Service knowledge to help our customers build their cloud journeys. In partnership with sales, we collaborate with our customers to inspire them with an innovative solution roadmap to drive outstanding ROI in their businesses.

This role will be aligned to CX Solution Engineering in the Germany.

Core Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do - Be the vital piece of the puzzle that connects us to the millions of businesses that need our help to evolve. You will

  • Partner with sales teams across all stages of the sales cycle to articulate the business value of Oracle Sales and Service Solutions
  • Leverage Sales and Service knowledge to recommend relevant and innovative solutions that support your customers’ desired outcomes
  • Present and demonstrate Oracle Sales and Service Applications tailored to our customer’s needs. Ensure customers’ key business requirements and motivations are understood and addressed
  • Lead teams of supporting resources within complex opportunities to create consistent content and  generate a coherent flow according to the overall vision
  • Focus on overcoming obstacles to achieve the customers’ desired outcome
  • Stay up to date and increase your skills and knowledge in competitive Sales and Service and modern demonstration techniques
  • Ensure a smooth handover for a successful customer implementation
  • Represent Oracle as a credible expert, providing current and new product information through workshops and at customer or industry events
  • Drive the strategic growth of EMEA Applications through an active contribution to the SE community

Additional Responsibilities

  • Research and communicate current industry/digitalization trends, drivers and potential.
  • Translate Oracle's Strategy and Sales and Service Messages to the customer base
  • Create Value Propositions and communicate the benefits of these to your customer contacts
  • Design customer focused solutions and put teams and task forces together to deliver them.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with other Oracle LOBs to ensure resources are available as and when required.
  • Maintain awareness of competence and capability with focus on delivering customer value through the entire customer lifecycle

Required Skills/Experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Sales and/or Service applications and deep understanding in the areas of Sales Automation and/or  modern Customer Service
  • Motivation to aquire knowledge and experience in Oracle Sales and Service applications
  • Innovative thinking and ability to offer a unique perspective by reframing and challenging the way customers view their business; know how to structure a Sales and/or Service pitch to highlight customer value and influence key decision makers
  • Proven ability to analyse and quickly understand customer needs and leverage insights for consultative selling
  • Passion to track digital and industry trends and understand its implications for customers
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and young organization, with a dynamic leadership team
  • Strong collaboration skills and being comfortable working in an organization based on trust and openness – being empowered to speak up and every day try to improve how we work and how we put customers first
  • Ability to self-manage and to work independently and with a team, in an efficient and organized manner
  • Experience in Sales and/or Service roles, solid understanding of Sales and/or Service subject matters and local trends and practices.
  • Bachelors / Masters degree or equivalent desirable
  • Native Speaker in German and fluent in English (other languages are a plus)

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
