  • Provides property risk engineering value added and pragmatic solutions and risk profiling/evaluation services, on single location, indigenous multi-location and multi-national accounts, by interfacing with corporate risk management, corporate brokers and various Chubb risk engineering and underwriting offices as appropriate. Guide underwriting staff in the risk selection, acquisition, regain & retention of new and existing clients. 
  • Summarizes risk evaluations and recommends appropriate improvements.

  • To provide risk engineering technical support to all Chubb stakeholders, to help reduce the exposures to the line of business at an account and portfolio level, but also in the acquisition, retention and regaining of profitable business. Also, provide technical support to Chubb clients/insured on new or existing projects etc.
  • To provide risk engineering services to selected clients and designated accounts by participating on the risk selection process and developing and executing an efficient, effective and solutions orientated service program.
  • To provide reports and presentations as appropriate to internal staff, clients and brokers as appropriate.
  • Complete the workload within the Chubb reporting platform and keep work management system up to date. 
  • To prepare reports as appropriate in accordance with the RES service standards, including: Desk top report reviews Inspection reports Special visit/project reviews Budget cost assessments for agreed service plans Account overviews Account Stewardship reports Budget conformance reports on service plans Post loss reports Lessons learnt from losses guidance To work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards and to fulfil compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • To represent Chubb at internal and external meetings including review meetings with underwriters, brokers and key clients.
  • To participate in industry market forums as appropriate.
  • Research technical problems and enquiries from insureds, other RES regions and Chubb operating units on an as-neded basis. Gives timely responses and ensures consistency in evaluating hazards and recommending improvements.
  • Remains abreast of developments in risk and loss prevention engineering practices, emerging exposures and hazards and market trends.
  • Qualifications


  • Qualified to a minimum of bachelor’s degree level (engineering, science, technology or mathematics) or with other appropriate technical qualifications or practical vocational experience as deemed appropriate at the regional & COG level.
  • On-going demonstration of knowledge development through learned societies, professional association membership of professional associations and attendance at seminars and conferences.
  • Continuing Professional Development with an emphasis on engineering as well as encompassing underwriting disciplines where necessary.
  • Willingness to travel
