Objective of the role

SUSE is building a strategic EMEA Territory Managers team in Hoofddorp, Netherlands and Düsseldorf, Germany or working from home in Switzerland. This is a unique opportunity to join the biggest independent open source company on our exciting journey to dynamic growth!

The purpose of this position is selling SUSE entire portfolio within a defined set of new and existing accounts in the German speaking part of Switzerland in the high-end of the mid-market by utilizing digital selling tools and techniques, following up on marketing campaigns, identifying, managing, closing opportunities in the assigned customer base/territory.

Office Location: Combination of home office and SUSE office in Hoofddorp, Netherlands – right next to Amsterdam or in Düsseldorf, Germany or working from home in Switzerland.

Focus Area

  • Make & exceed quota and sell the right mix of products/solutions

  • Actively manage your named account list

  • Forecast accurately according to SUSE’s playbooks

  • Understands SUSE’s GTM model well and drives opportunities through the right route to market (AE/PE/Digital). Partner rather than compete with colleagues.

  • Understand SUSE's capabilities and positioning in the market and have a good understanding of related and/or competitive products, solutions.

  • Understand and articulate how to match SUSE solutions to their customer's or prospect’s business models.

  • Actively use social selling to improve their pipeline and closing rate.

  • Actively seeks continuous improvement, ensure your 3S certification and selling skills are current at all times. 

  • About You

  • Thoroughly understand it's capabilities and positioning in the Swiss market.

  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills over the phone – has demonstrable experience in a contact center experience.

  • Hungry for success

  • Be able to emphasize with different layers in your customer organization

  • Experience with technology sales

  • Self-motivated and self-starter – Just pick up the phone to hit call targets even after negative responses.

  • Customer management experience in a B2B business

  • Confidence, Passionate, enthusiasm, creative, curious, adaptability and resiliency are just some of the characteristics we are looking for

  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word literate

  • Experience with a CRM system – Salesforce preferably

  • Willingness to travel and flexibility in working hours required – you just get it done.

  • Works office-based in a team with similar roles – with individual targets.

  • Education and Experience Required

  • University or Bachelor's degree; Advanced degree or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in IT / Data Center sales.

  • Highly experienced in product specialty - kubernetes, container management, container storage, DevOps tools, Linux and data center solutions.

  • Demonstrates experience & success in selling with and through partners.

  • Hunting sales mentality and leading by example mentality.

  • Experienced in selling in teams across organizational boundaries.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • In-depth and comprehensive knowledge of usual sales methodologies.

  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English and German
