Ultimate Products (Leading Retail Consumer Goods Brand House and PLC business) is currently experiencing fantastic success off the back of our branded strategy and has seen turnover rise to £120m in just 3 years.


Already a major supplier to UK retailers including Tesco, Asda, B&M and Sainsbury and European retailers including Action, Lidl, Aldi and Kaufland, the company has aggressive plans to expand further across all major European retail markets. Now that the business is established and has business growing in Germany and Holland with major retailers, we now want to focus more on customers and within different channels and sizes.


With the use of state of the art showrooms in Germany, UK, Holland and China the aim is to double our current turnover over the next 3-5 years and replicate the huge success we have had in the UK across Europe. 


We have the products under well-known brands like PETRA, BELDRAY, RUSSELL HOBBS, SALTER, PROGRESS and INTEMPO, the supply chain infrastructure and the ambition. Now we need suitably experienced and ambitious people to join this new chapter of the company.


As a result we are looking to expand our European Sales team by recruiting an experienced Key Account Manager who has knowledge and a focus on German market selling stock to wholesale customers amongst others.


The Role 

  • Use existing relationships to business develop a customer base of National Retailers within Germany across multiple product categories and tiers
  • To promote and sell a wide variety of Branded Consumer Goods to these customers in order to generate large volume orders. Products can include Housewares, Small Domestic Appliances, Laundry & Cleaning, Audio & Technology and Textiles.
  • To account manage the customer base to build strong relationships and repeated business
  • To attend trade shows and exhibitions throughout the world
  • To attend key customer meetings at our showrooms in Cologne, Manchester (UK), China (Guangzhou), Holland and Hong Kong as required.


Person Specification

  • At least 2 years’ experience of completing a similar sales, business development / account management role where you have developed business and achieved sales (in excess of €2m per year) within retail consumer (hard) goods
  • To have knowledge and experience of account managing major retail customers, understanding their requirements and buying/supply chain processes
  • To have relevant product experience, either being in Electrical Appliances, Audio or Housewares
  • To be able to competently communicate both in English and German languages.
  • To be based in Germany but have a willingness to travel around Europe and Asia as required
  • Excellent presentation and IT skills
  • Drive, ambition and determination to succeed
