United Waters International AG (UWI)

UWI has developed and patented a pioneering, award-winning and cost-efficient biological drinking water purification technology in 20’ and 40’ foot containerised systems under the brand name BioGreen™.

Based on its sustainability, cost efficiency and long-term quality the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources has selected UWI’s water purification system as a preferred drinking water purification technology.

UWI is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, with subsidiaries in Hong Kong, mainland China, India and Sweden.


Sales DACH (German speaking markets) – remote (m/f/o)

We look for a motivated, driven, solutions-oriented and high performing executive with outstanding track-record within sales and project execution in the European infrastructure sector. Previous experience in dealing and interacting with senior officials on a governmental or municipality level is a prerequisite. Specific background in water purification industry is a plus, not a must.

The candidate will play a vital role in the rapid growth and expansion of the Company. The environment is challenging, fast, entrepreneurial, and dynamic.

The candidate should qualify as a strong team player, ready to become a team-building a team to support our growth. A high degree of creativity and latitude is expected with a strong understanding of how to build a cross-border solution/service platform covering municipal as well as corporate clients.

The Executive will report directly to UWI’s management and interact with clients, industry associations as well as other industry stakeholders. The candidate will closely coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects are aligned with the company’s growth targets.

The role can be conducted on a remote basis, with regular visits to UWI’s headquarter in Zug. The position includes substantial travel.


Responsibilities -

n Establishing a sales and solution/service platform to install UWI’s BioGreen™ systems with municipalities as well as corporate clients in German speaking markets (Austria, Germany and Switzerland)

n Definition and execution of sales and marketing strategy

n Budgeting and fulfilment of sales targets

n Work closely with industry associations as well as other stakeholders to promote biological water purification

n Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects

n Establish in close coordination with internal departments a seamless service setup for our solutions

Requirements -

n 7+ years infrastructure sales/ business development experience with government entities, including public bidding and procurement process, preferably within solution and service sales.

n Track record of meeting or exceeding targets and P&L responsibility

n Driven, self-motivated and well-structured with the ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

n Excellent client-facing, negotiation, and internal communication skills

n Experience in working with senior officials on a governmental and municipal level

n Strong leadership skills and ability to organise a highly structured sales and distribution process, managing strong business growth

n Good understanding of infrastructure related financing  

n Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English; other languages a plus

n Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or engineering

n Readiness to travel
