Our client is one of the world leading producers of steel pipe and tube products, in a large range of size, servicing various markets around the world.

The position may be based in Germany or France.


Role:

  • Manage key accounts and seek for development opportunities for new business in Germany, Austria, Switzerland as per Business Plan product mix
  • Meet with customers/clients to build and sustain commercial relationships
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
  • Have a good understanding of German, Austrian and Swiss markets and competition
  • Promote Mechanical and Seamless products, services and applications
  • Understand the needs of the customers and be able to respond effectively with an appropriate plan
  • Have a good understanding of the range of products
  • Liaise with the relevant internal stakeholders to optimize the sales process
  • Monitor sales report, and analyze actual and potential performance
  • Maintain proper administrative control over all orders thereby ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained and no opportunities losses for the group
  • Ensure efficient management of costs and inventory (cash collection…)
  • Working as a team player with Customer Service to meet or exceed performance


Profile:


Technical skills:

  • University degree in Business administration, economics, engineering or related area
  • Industrial Sector B to B sales experience, ideally steel products
  • Fluent in English and German. additional languages are considered as an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel regularly to visit customers
  • Tenacity and ability to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
  • Excellent capacity for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers
  • Ability to analyze sales and figures
  • Ability to manage in periods of extreme volatility of price and market uncertainty
  • Intimate view on economic, industry and market trends
