We are looking for a Head of Country reporting directly to the General Manager UK +Europe. You will oversee:
  • Warehouse Management : Setup the warehouses and logistics
  • Transport Management: Define and plan the transportation infrastructure
  • Team and P&L: Define the team structure, hire people and manage the MOVUS Country P&L

As a core member and leader - you will have the critical responsibility to impact the success of the business by ensuring Getir Stores are replenished on time, eventually giving the stellar customer experience to Getir!

Your key responsibilities are:
  • Act as the first line of contact for the Getir country organization regarding logistics services and be their exclusive distribution center and transportation services provider based on agreed business scope, logistics services agreement and KPIs
  • Own the country P&L and targets by defining and implementing the Movus country strategy based on Getir’s European and country expansion plans and the Movus European strategy
  • Enable the design and implementation of the logistics infrastructure (distribution centers, organization, business processes, external services and etc.) by getting first line support from the Movus Expansion PMO and regional functions (People, Finance and IT) as we are just starting up in Europe following a big success with Getir in Turkey
  • Employ and manage senior staff (warehousing, transportation, HSE, and others) who in return will manage teams in large scaled distribution centers designed particularly for supermarket goods
  • Ensure monthly KPI performance for the Movus country organization by using the key data andcommunication interfaces with Getir’s regional/local functions (e.g. planning, logistics, finance), Getirsuppliers and dealers, on primary business processes (e.g. DC capacity planning, inbound & outboundlogistics, invoicing) and by providing succesful guidance to own team and internal/external resources
  • Maintaine high level of health, safety and environment standards above legislative requirements, thecontinuity of company assets and operational excellence in order to drive continuous performanceimprovement on Getir KPIs
  • Act as the lead spokes person representing Movus in your country with local authorities

Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree, Masters in a relevant field would be an asset
  • 15+ years of experience (indicative)
  • Excellent command the local language and of English
  • Strong operations leadership skills and track record of handling C-level relationships
  • Experience in formulating and leading supply chain strategies and teams (e.g. planning, warehousing, transportation, HSE) in the global multinational setting: ideally in an industrial/FMCG/ logistics sector across Europe
  • Hands-on experience in distribution center design and operations, ideally for supermarket or consumer goods, underlying technical building blocks (e.g. warehouse and vehicle rental contracts, shelf systems, cold storage rooms, material handling equipment, IT equipment and software) and logistics operations (e.g. stock management, material handling, picking, packing, truck loading, shipping, reverse logistics, cost management and invoicing)
  • Represents strong comprehension of the local culture, language, legal environment and job market for her/his country of residence
  • Project and change management
  • Data driven, yet flexible, practical and pragmatic in order to deliver results (super) fast
  • Stress Tolerant – maintaining a calm and positive attitude during stressful situations and ambiguity
  • Strong team player with well-developed social and intercultural communication skills
  • Flexible in working hours an no travel restrictions
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
