Senior SQA Engineer job in Budapest at TATA Consultancy Services - Hungary

In the IT Services area, TCS implements the best in class solutions in the Business 4.0 era to enable strong digital foundations for our customers worldwide. We are working with a wide range of technologies and programming languages (common and rare ones) from Spring Boot, Hibernate, .NET, SharePoint to C++, C#, Java, RPG till AS400, Oracle and the evergreen Angular, React and Jest for testing automation.

We are searching a new SQA engineer to join to our team in the Budapest office.

Your task as the new SQA engineer:

• Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of methods to test and troubleshoot newly developed software applications
• Logging and tracking defects in defect tracking tool
• Collaborative with development team and project manager to ensure that defects are corrected in a timely manner
• Assist team with configuration of appropriate test automation tools
• Lead and mentor QA Engineers/Junior QA Engineers
• Attend and participate in project-level reviews
• Attend and participate in daily stand-ups
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and project goals

About you as an SQA engineer

Required:

• Desire to improve quality and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
• 3+ years of experience in functional testing is required
• 1+ years hand on experience in test automation (Python/JavaScript/C#/Java)
• Strong technical background
• Experience of automating functional, regression and integration testing using industry standard tools and frameworks preferred
• Understanding of Test management tools (e.g. TM4J)
• Familiarity with feature-driven and test-driven test methodologies
• Familiarity with iterative software development life cycles
• Familiarity with breadth of test types including: Integration testing, System Testing, Functional testing, API/Web service testing, Regression testing, performance testing, load and stress testing
• Experience and/or understanding of multi-platform environments (Linux, Windows)
• Experience working with at least one of the major SQL database engines (Oracle, SQL Server)
• English: Upper intermediate
