Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic and engaging QTS teachers/tutors to support pupils on a 1:1 basis. The majority of our current placements are supporting pupils awaiting school placements, as such tuition often takes place in the home environment or out in the local community. We currently have availability across Gosport and Portsmouth and are looking for tutors based in close proximity to these locations.

We’ve seen an increase in demand for specialists in core subjects (English and Maths) and have opportunities to support both primary and secondary pupils, so welcome teachers with QTS from any background.

Pupils may need tuition for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Behavioural difficulties (pupils excluded from school and awaiting a new placement)
  • Emotional needs including school phobia or anxiety
  • Medical needs
  • Relocation and awaiting a school placement
  • Improvement in grades
  • Support with GCSE preparation

Successful applicants will need:

  • Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent; ideally withing a core specialism (English, Maths or Primary)
  • Experience with primary or secondary aged children
  • Experience working with children in a tuition capacity (desirable)

What you will get in return:

  • Up to £25p/h (PAYE)
  • Weekly pay
  • Flexible working pattern – perfect for those with a busy schedule
  • Full time or part time availability – dependent on your lifestyle
  • Local and regular work
  • Making a profound difference to those who need help the most
  • Dedicated consultant who stays by your side throughout the entire process

There is scope for you to support multiple students and you can choose to commit to either full or part time hours. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexibility and to be in charge of their own schedule.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
