Sales Operations Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Sales Leaders to enhance the sales end-to-end process – i.e. enable to sale more and faster
  • Facilitate Sales Strategic & Tactical Planning – Yearly Plan, Quarterly Reviews and Monthly Business Reviews
  • Drive Sales Governance (e.g. PAB process) to ensure good qualification and progression of opportunities in pipeline
  • Define, measure, analyze, improve and control sales processes. Enable standardization across business units
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, increasing sales team’s effectiveness
  • Lead the sales forecasting process, in alignment with Sales Leaders and other support functions (e.g. Reporting team, salesforce team, etc.)

  • Proactively consume and analyze existing sales and market data in order to provide useful business insights to Sales Leaders
  • Be the champion of business analytics and the use of existing sales enablement tools across the sales organization
  • Detect areas of lack of knowledge in internal processes to establish a training plan jointly with the Sales Enablement leader.
  • Empathize and understand business requirements for support functions. Lead the process to address those needs and follow up with the respective support teams (e.g. Reporting & Analytics, Sales Enablement Tools, Proposal Management, etc.)
  • Coordinate with the Sales Enablement leader to ensure that new Alight sales employees are enabled to perform from day 1
  • Proactively assess Alight processes and policies to help the Sales leaders to navigate and execute in accordance to established corporate controls.
  • Manage compliance with business controls across Sales organization.

Skills required:

  • Fluent in English
  • Proven analytical skills (able to perform Trend Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and other statistical analysis)
  • Must have the skill to analyze and understand the end-to-end view and each component of the sales process – i.e. see the full picture while also paying attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills, proper written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to present to senior business leaders and large audiences
  • Must have a positive attitude to work with Business Leaders and to be able to provide and receive feedback as a key element for continuous improvement
  • Proactive, with the ability to work independently (i.e. under little supervision) and driven by project results
  • Process oriented, capable of designing, implementing and improving sales processes
  • Creative and innovative, oriented to generate new ideas for improvement
  • Must have the ability to handle large amounts of work, focusing on finding solutions
  • Must have the ability to handle short-notice requests with quick turnarounds with a positive attitude
  • Must be a well-organized professional (well structured)
  • Must have a good knowledge of working on a project environment – e.g. with defined timelines, scope and limited resources

Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Academic background in business, finance, engineering or similar
  • 5+ years of experience leading a business unit or business support functions
  • Good knowledge of business management techniques and methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-Excel and MS-Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of business intelligence concepts and how to provide business insights
  • Knowledge and work experience with salesforce.com are desired
  • Knowledge of statistics, dashboards, trend analysis and similar is desired
  • Project Management knowledge is required, certification is a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge and/or certification is an advantage
  • Finance experience is an advantage
  • Experience in Sales and/or Operations is an advantage
