DA Languages are looking for speakers of Polish based in Nottingham to join our network of freelance interpreters.
We provide interpreters to a wide range of UK based public and private sector clients, from hospitals and councils to law firms and marketing agencies.
Due to our partnerships with some big clients in the area, we have an increased demand for interpreters of this language.
We are looking for bilingual speakers with the confidence to accurately interpret for our clients and their non-English speaking service users.

Do you have interpreting experience with a professional, with family and friends, or volunteering?

What will you be doing?
You will meet our clients and their service users in venues across the area, including hospitals, GP practices, councils, and home visits. As an interpreter, you will help our clients and their service users communicate with each other, remaining professional and impartial. This will ensure that non-English speakers receive the support they need.

Having one of the below qualifications is preferred, but not essential:
Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
Community Interpreting
National Registered (NRPSI)
Chartered Institute of Linguists Qualifications (CIOL)
Certificate in Bilingual Skills (CBS)
BA in Translation/Interpreting
BA in Languages/Linguistics
Please note, each candidate must have the following:
Right to Work in the UK
Enhanced DBS or equivalent – you can apply for an Enhanced DBS with the guidance of our recruitment team
Approx. 100 hours interpreting experience – either professional or personal (family, friends, or volunteering)
For non-native applicants, we will require evidence of your English proficiency through one of the following: Qualification to GSCE Level or above in England, IELTS score of 7 or above, CEFR C1 qualification or equivalent English test
